Lot Details

This work by Damien Hirst is a color screenprint of a glistening metallic skull, with glazes further intensifying the image's allure. The work showcases Hirst's preoccupation with the inevitability of death, a theme which he frequently addresses through the skull motif. This work is signed and numbered by the artist in white pencil and comes from an edition of 1700 printed on heavy wove paper, with a sheet size of 11.75 x 19.5 inches (29.8 x 24.1 cm). It is recessed and floated on moire fabric with a matching inner black fillet, and framed under UV-protective Plexiglas to dimensions of 21 x 17.63 inches (53.3 x 44.8 cm) in a shadow box-style frame.
