Bill Brandt is considered one of the most important photographers of the 20th century, and referenced widely throughout art history. He is best known for high contrast and distorted images of nudes and landscapes and was a pioneer of documentary/photojournalism photography - photographing all levels of British society in the 1930s, which was uncommon at the time. Brandt’s work has been widely exhibited and is part of numerous museum collections.
