Barry M. Goldwater was an American politician who served 5 terms as a senator from Arizona, and is credited with the resurgence of the American conservative political movement in the 1960s. In addition to Goldwater's political activity, he was an accomplished landscape photographer and member of the Royal Photographic Society. Goldwater's works were published in three books: People and Places (1967), Barry Goldwater and the Southwest (1976) with a foreword by Ansel Adams, and Delightful Journey (1940).
