"The Exit of Shirin & Farhad No. 1" (2012) is an sublime color photograph depicting two lovers rolled up together in a Persian rug as if dreaming or asleep, floating towards the heavens amidst a flock of birds, by one of the most notable young Middle Eastern photographers, Babak Kazemi (Iran, b. 1983). This is edition 6 of 6, the last photograph available, measures 39.37 x 27.56 inches (100 x 70 cm) is unframed in perfect condition. The photographs from this series are all based on the ancient love story between Princess Shirin and Farhad, a common laborer. Babak's depictions of this love story underscore the deeply personal regard for the human condition.
