Armando Morales is renown for his lushly painted, sensual painting of nudes, often bathing in the dim moonlight. Here, Morales paints a gathering of voluptuous nudes in hues of cool blues and greens, gathered near the windows of a glowing, star-lit night. This alluring work measures 59 x 49 inches (150 x 125 cm) and is unframed in excellent condition.

Armando Morales was born in Granada, Nicaragua in 1927, and received his formal education from The School of Fine Arts of Managua. He has won multiple awards like the “Industrial Tandil” Prize at the III American Biennial in Cordoba Argentina, the order ofRuben Dario award granted by the Sandinista government, and the “J.L. Hudson & Co.” prize at the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh, among many others. His works are included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
