This is a dynamic photograph of cycling legend and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong by one of America's greatest portrait photographers, Annie Leibovitz. It was taken in the fall of 1999 when Lance came back to cycling after defeating cancer, and had won his first Tour de France. He went on to set a record seven consecutive Tour de France victories. This image was published in Vanity Fair in February of 2000.
