This artwork is being auctioned in conjunction with the Brooklyn Artists Ball, celebrating women artists and the fifth anniversary of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Museum's education, exhibition, and outreach programs .The artwork in this auction will be on view at the museum from April 13-18 and will be showcased at the Brooklyn Artists Ball Benefit on Wednesday, April 18th. These works were produced during the Alterations exhibition was on view at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid in 2007. The museum later acquired the work for it's collection.

Amy Cutler is a Brooklyn-based artist known for her surrealist groupings of manic female figures. Cutler studied at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York and late attend the Skowhegan School. Her work is part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the New York Public Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, Indianapolis Museum of Art amongst other.
