"Iron, Knife, Gun, Handcuff" (The Deconstruction of White Series) (2012) by Contemporary Persian artist Armirali Ghasemi is a conceptually powerful set of four framed color photographs that make up the single work "Deconstruction of White". Each photographs depicts a different, anonymous individual with the image of a deconstructed iron, knife, gun or set of handcuffs all in white over their figures or set of handcuffs deconstructed and painted in white. The total unframed dimensions for all four photographs measure: 25.98 x 86.61 in. (66 x 220 cm). Total framed dimensions for the entire work measure: 33.07 x 100.79 in. (84 x 256 cm). This lot is edition 2 of 7 + 1AP, all four works are custom framed and in excellent condition. The photographs can be shipped framed or unframed.

Amirali Ghasemi (Iran b. 1980) studied graphic design at Azad University in Tehran from 1998 to 2004. He has been the acting head of the independent art space Parkingallery in Tehran since 1998, where he has curated numerous exhibitions and projects. In addition to his work with Parkingallery, an online virtual gallery he has an extensive career showing his photos, videos, and design works in Sweden, The Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Canada, the US, Australia, Turkey, South Korea, and China, Taiwan, and Japan. Ghasemi has also worked as an art curator, and critic for various art publications in Iran.
