These 5 silk-screen prints, each 51 x 23.5 inches, are printed with 11 colors on 400GSM Somerset Tub paper, are signed and numbered on one print, and come in a cloth covered conservation portfolio.

Ahmed Mater was born in Saudi Arabia in 1979 to a traditional Aseeri family. While simultaneously studying medicine at King Khalid Univeristy in Abha, Mater was a founding member of Al-Miftaha Arts Village in Abha, an influential arts village at the King Fahad Cultural Centre, where he studied and practiced drawing and photography. He is a co-founding member of Edge of Arabia, a group of prominent Saudi contemporary artists. Influenced by his traditional upbringing as well as by his studies in both the medical and artistic fields, Mater explores Islamic culture in the modern age of globalization, consumerism, and transformation. His work has been exhibited throughout the world, including The Museum of the Seam: Socio-Political Contemporary Art Museum, Jerusalem, Israel; Traffic Gallery, Dubai, UAE; and The British Museum, London, UK. Mater is also a featured artist in the 2011 exhibition ‘Gifts of the Sultan’ at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA.
