| | Description | | Indy 500 Festival, Indianapolis, Indiana: the word was commissioned by the Indy 500 Festival as a gift to the city, commemorating their 50th anniversary. This wind activated tower has nearly 500 hinged "flags", polished stainless steel on the inside, an array of colors on the outside. The movement of the wind becomes visible as the panels move, the colors flickering in the sun. At night, interior up-lights cause pixilation as the panels alternately are lit and go dark.
