The designs are directly based on the artist's original lithographic brush drawings produced in 1968-69 to illustrate Thomas Kinsella's inspired translation of the Tain Bo Cuailnge, the dramatic record of Ireland's proto-historic past and the centre-piece of the eighth century Ulster cycle of heroic tales.
Set of 20 tapestries, woven by the Atelier René Duché, Meilleur ouvrier de France, Aubusson, France. Limited edition of 9, 2 artist's proofs.
