| | The series titled "Intersections" are aerial views of abstracted urban plans, referencing work Slavin exhibited in the mid 1970s. Like the early work these paintings are pencil diagonal grid based with layers of lush translucent stained colors. In many paintings the X provides a recognizable entrance into an abstract world, as the viewer's eye scans and jumps from color to color slowly entering into the depth of the painting.
