How do I search for an artist using the artnet iPhone App?

    After opening the artnet iPhone App, select the artnet Artists A–Z section. In the bottom navigation of the artnet Artists A–Z section, tap the "artists" button. Here you will see a search box in which you can type the first or last name, or part of a name.

    You can also jump to the desired letter in the alphabet by selecting the letter on the right of your screen.

    Artists are sorted by their last name.

    Tap an artist's name to see details.

What information is included about each artist?

    In artnet Artists A–Z section, each artist will contain, when available:

       •   Images: High resolution images of artworks for sale in any of over 2,220 galleries from the artnet Gallery Network, plus original works for sale from artnet Auctions, and artworks upcoming at auction in over 550 international auction houses

       •   Biographies: A quick fact sheet of highlights from each artist's life

       •   Selected Exhibitions: Current, upcoming, and past gallery exhibitions from over 2,220 international galleries

       •   Monographs: More detailed information from interviews to literature

       •   Research Prices: A link to the premiere artnet Price Database of Fine Art and Design?you must have a subscription to use this product

       •   Events: A calendar of openings and events in the arts that you can sort by date

How do I email or share images or information?

    The artnet Artists A–Z section allows you to share images on your Facebook wall or email them.

    To email an image, open the artwork detail from the artist's artwork section and tap the "share" button in the bottom navigation. If this "share" button does not appear at first, tap on the image again to make it appear.

    This will open an overlay that allows you to select "send by email," which will open the iPhone mail application. The email will include the image and available details from the artnet iPhone App.

    If you want to share an artwork on Facebook, select "share on Facebook" in the overlay. It will open the Facebook Connect screen inside the artnet iPhone App. Enter your login information to post the image and available details to your Facebook wall.

What if I cannot find the artist I am looking for?

    The Artists A–Z section of the artnet iPhone App downloads a few hundred artists to your device, chosen among:

    - The most popular artists on the artnet website,

    - Artists with artworks for sale at artnet Auctions,

    - Artists with artworks for sale at artnet member galleries and auction houses.

    To search among the over 200,000 artists listed on the artnet website, go to the artnet Artists A–Z section, tap the "artists" button in the bottom navigation. On the search page, tap "Haven't found the artist you are looking for?"

    Here, you can do an advanced search on the artist's name for all artists listed on the artnet website. Type the artist's first name, last name or partial name and you will see a list of names appear for your selection. Selecting an artist from here will open the artist?s page in the artnet iPhone App

How do I save an artist?

    First locate the artist's page in the artnet iPhone App by selecting the artnet Artists A–Z section and in the bottom navigation, tap the "artists" button. Here you will see a search box in which you can type the first name, last name or partial name of the artist you want to save. You can also jump to the desired letter in the alphabet by selecting the letter on the right of your screen.

    Artists are sorted by their last name.

    Tap an artist's name to see details.

    On this full view page, click the "Save" button at the top right to add this artist to your Saved Artists.

How do I access a saved artist?

    To access an artist you have already saved in the Artists A–Z section of the artnet iPhone App, use the "Saved" link in the bottom navigation.

    This page will list the artists you have saved in the artnet Artists A–Z section. You can search this list by typing the artist's first name, last name, or partial name in the search box at the top of the screen. You can scroll down or tap the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to your artist's last name to reach your artist quickly.

How do I remove an artist from my saved list?

    To delete one artist, you can swipe an artist's name in your list of saved artists and the "Delete" button will appear; tap to remove.

    To delete several artists, click the "Edit" button at the top right of the page. A circle will appear to the left of each artist's name. Tap those to be unsaved then tap "Done" at the top right of the page to complete the process.

    When viewing the artist to be removed, you can also tap the "Unsave" button at the top right of the page to remove this artist from your saved artists list.
