Back in 1982, a bunch of us from the art group
Collaborative Projects were invited to do a show up in Buffalo, N.Y. Was it at
Hallwalls? A university gallery? In any case, we decided to mount "The Buffalo All-Artists Open," or something along those lines, putting advertisements in the local newspapers that invited artists to show up at the gallery with their works, which would all be hung, guaranteed.
