At Chris Martin’s opening at Sideshow on a hot, drizzly evening that felt more like July than September, painter David Kapp quipped that Martin was just the standard-bearer needed for the whole tantric/psychedelic/New York School/minimalist thing. Martin does indeed approach his endeavor with the energy and urgency of a one-man movement.
