ROY LICHTENSTEIN DRESSES FROM MOD DESIGNER LISA PERRY

Aug. 16, 2011

For a limited-edition collection of 99 cotton shift dresses, mod designer Lisa Perry got the go ahead from Roy Lichtenstein’s estate to reprint three of the artist’s famous works – Spray, 1962, No Thank You, 1964, and On, 1962. The dresses retail at Perry’s Madison Avenue boutique and online for $2,000, while tees featuring Lichtenstein’s Hot Dog With Mustard, 1963, and Compositions 1, 1964, go for $75 a pop.

Last year, Perry designed an Andy Warhol-inspired capsule collection and carried a range of limited-edition bags by Italian luxury house Barbonese at her store that were also based on Lichtenstein works. A portion of the proceeds from the line is donated to the Parrish Art Museum.
