RHM FOUNDATION LAUNCHES IN L.A.

The Rema Hort Mann Foundation is launching a new program to raise funds and award $10,000 grants to emerging artists in greater Los Angeles. The initial event is a benefit exhibition and auction of artworks at Honor Fraser Gallery on May 12, 2011; admission is $20 (and includes tacos by Juan y Coco). Participating artists include Matt Chambers, Brendan Fowler, Thomas Houseago, Alex Olson, Jon Pestoni and Jonas Wood. The RHM Foundation was founded in 1995 by New York collectors Susan and Michael Hort in memory of their daughter, and supports the visual arts as well as cancer patients undergoing treatment in the greater New York area.
