Operating a global art-museum empire doesn't come cheap, and Guggenheim Museum and Foundation director Richard Armstrong has just brought on some new fundraising help -- that is to say, two new deputy directors. Catherine Carver Dunn has been tapped as Deputy Director, Advancement, a new post that puts her in charge of the museum's new capital campaign, among other duties. Dunn had worked for the New York Public Library for over 20 years. At the same time, John L. Wielk, the museum's chief development officer for the past five years, was promoted to Deputy Director, Corporate and Institutional Development. "His expertise in negotiating major international collaborations and securing vital grants," Armstrong said, "will continue to serve the institution's ambitious objectives."
