Aug. 6, 2007

Too hot to go outside? Stuck at your desk? Everything closed anyway? Check this out:

* Sherrie Levine, one of the original Appropriation artists of the Postmodernist 1980s, has turned her famous "interrogation of the original" into an encyclopedic undertaking, making bronze casts of Georgia O’Keeffe-like animal skulls (much in demand at Art 38 Basel) as well as abstract color grids inspired by Paul Cézanne, among other works. For details, see James Kelly Contemporary in Santa Fe.
