New Zealand art galleries say they’ve been snubbed by organizers of the upcoming Auckland Art Fair, Aug. 4-7, 2011, which highlights what is called Trans-Tasman contemporary art -- art from Australia and New Zealand, on either side of the Tasman Sea -- at the new Viaducts Events Centre, built on a wharf in Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.

Last year’s debut 25-gallery Chelsea Art Walk has quadrupled in size for 2011, adding another 100 galleries to this year’s free early-evening event, which is slated to take place on July 28, 2011, 5-8 pm.
