Two back-to-back retrospectives at the Guggenheim next spring juxtapose the works of two vastly different artists: Internationally celebrated sculptor John Chamberlain, now 84 years old, whose show is titled “Choices,” Feb. 24-May 13, 2012, and the intellectual art-world favorite Francesca Woodman, a prodigal photography student who committed suicide in 1981 at the age of 22.

A new boutique fair of African and Mediterranean art sets up shop in Morocco, Nov. 16-20, 2011. Supported in part by King Mohamed IV, the Spanish and Moroccan ministries of culture and Madrid-based cultural organization Fundación Temas de Arte, the new fair -- dubbed Top TwentyFive -- brings together, as you might guess, 25 international galleries, including six local exhibitors, plus Kalao Arte Negro from Bilbao, White Box from New York, Anita Beckers from Frankfurt and Chelouche Gallery from Tel Aviv.

Now competing with The Armory Show in March and Frieze New York later in the spring -- not to mention Pulse, Scope, Independent and VOLTA -- the Art Dealers Association of America has announced a slightly expanded lineup of 72 galleries for its 2012 Art Show, March 7-11, at the Park Avenue Armory.
