Yoko Ono met John Lennon in Barry Miles and John Dunbar’s Indica bookshop and gallery, a veritable hub of burgeoning counterculture in the ‘60s. Miles later went on to write books on Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Charles Bukowski and Frank Zappa. His Hippie and the official McCartney biography Paul McCartney: Many Years from Now were both New York Times best sellers. His most recent book is London Calling: A Counter-Cultural History of London since 1945 (Atlantic Books).
