Luc Tuymans’ first U.S. retrospective opens Sept. 17, 2009-Jan. 3, 2010, at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio. Featuring over 70 works, the show is jointly organized with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, where it subsequently appears, along with further stops in Dallas and Chicago. The European art world had already taken considerable note of the Antwerp-based Tuymans (b. 1958) before he had his first show in New York at David Zwirner in 1994.
