John Lurie has succeeded in enough creative endeavors -- film, music, composing -- that it comes as no surprise that his painting career has attracted critical and commercial attention. After an initial exhibition of his mordant cartoon-like drawings at Anton Kern in 2004, he’s shown in museums from Luxembourg’s MUDAM to P.S.1 in Long Island City.
