Berlin Painter
( fl c. 500c. 460s BC). Greek vase painter. He is named after a large Type A amphora (Berlin, Antikenmus., 2160) and was among the finest Attic Red-figure vase painters. His paintings often suit the shapes of their vases so beautifully that he probably also made the vases themselves. During his long career he attracted many influential followers.
