(3) Lorenzo (Baldissera) Tiepolo
(b Venice, 8 Aug 1736; d Madrid, Aug 1776). Son of (1) Giambattista Tiepolo. In 1750, aged 14, he travelled to Würzburg with his father and brother, where he worked alongside them on the decorative fresco cycle in the Kaisersaal of the Residenz at Würzburg. Knox (1980) has attributed to him a number of drawings (Würzburg, Wagner-Mus.) from these apprentice years. In 1753 the family returned to Venice.
