(2) Tony Robert-Fleury
(b Paris, 1 Sept 1837; d Viroflay, Paris, 8 Dec 1911). Son of (1) Joseph-Nicolas Robert-Fleury. He was a pupil of Paul Delaroche and of Léon Cogniet, and the main characteristics of his works were due to this training: correct drawing, a restrained palette, an orderly composition and a general respect for the classical tradition. He specialized in history and genre scenes.
