French family of artists. Gengoult Prouvé was employed during the mid-19th century in the workshop of Charles Gallé-Reinemer, a manufacturer of ceramics and glass in Nancy and the father of Emile Gallé. (1) Victor Prouvé, his son, also joined the Gallé workshop and later became internationally known as an Art Nouveau designer. Victors son, (2) Jean Prouvé, initially a wrought-iron craftsman, later worked as a building designer, developing innovative metal construction techniques. The following members have entries:
