Polenov.
Russian family of artists. The well-known historian, archaeologist and bibliographer Dmitry Vasil’yevich Polenov (1806–78) had two children who became successful artists: (1) Vasily Polenov and (2) Yelena Polenova. The latter was among the first women in Russia to achieve a durable status and reputation in art. The family estate in Polenovo is now the V. D. Polenov Estate–Museum and houses the work of both artists. The following members have entries:
