Picelj, Ivan
(b Okucani, 28 July 1924). Croatian painter, printmaker, sculptor and designer. He studied at the Zagreb Academy from 1943 to 1946. In 1951 he was the co-founder of the EXAT51 group, together with fellow architects and painters. In 1961 he was the co-founder of the international movement Nouvelle tendance, which promoted Zagreb as a centre of new European Constructivism and Op art.
