Panneels.
Flemish artists. The exact relationship between (1) Willem Panneels, Joannes Panneels and (2) Herman Panneels is unknown, but they were probably all from the same Antwerp family. (1) Willem and (2) Herman both trained as painters with Rubens in Antwerp, though both subsequently worked exclusively as printmakers, Willem mainly in Germany and Herman in Spain. The only known work by Joannes is a reproductive print of the Virgin and Child with St John (Hollstein, no. 1) after Annibale Carracci, made in Frankfurt am Main in the style of Willem Panneels.
