Makovsky.
Russian family of artists. Yegor Makovsky (1800–86) was co-founder of the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. His sons (1) Konstantin Makovsky, Nikolay Makovsky (1842–86) and (2) Vladimir Makovsky were all painters; Vladimir’s daughter (4) Yelena Makovskaya-Luksh was a painter, sculptor and designer, while his son (3) Sergey Makovsky was an art critic.
