(2) Ma Lin
(b probably Qiantang, Linan (modern Hangzhou), Zhejiang Province, c. 1185; d after 1256). Son of (1) Ma Yuan. All that is known of Ma Lin relates to Linan, and it is assumed he was born and lived there most of his life. His painting activity was centred at the imperial academy in the city.
