Lippi.
Italian family of painters and draughtsmen. (1) Fra Filippo Lippi, a Carmelite monk who was one of the leading Florentine painters of the mid-15th century, had a son by Lucrezia Buti, the nun he abducted in 1456. This son, (2) Filippino Lippi, became in turn one of the leading Florentine painters of the late 15th century. The following members have entries:
