Leoni.
Italian family of sculptors, medallists and collectors. (1) Leone Leoni and his son (2) Pompeo Leoni gained their reputations in service to the Habsburg Holy Roman Emperor Charles V and his son Philip II, King of Spain. They are particularly noted for their bronze busts and portrait statues of the leading members of the Spanish Habsburgs. Leone was also one of the most outstanding medallists of the 16th century.
