(2) Georg Labenwolf
(b Nuremberg, before 1533; d Nuremberg, May 1585). Son of (1) Pankraz Labenwolf. He trained with and assisted his father. In 1559 the town council of Nuremberg granted him permission to work in Neuburg an der Donau for five years, but following his fathers death in 1563, Georg Labenwolf assumed control of the family shop and foundry. In 157071 he cast ten figures, after models by sculptor Paul Kremer ( fl c. 157072), for a large fountain (untraced) at the Lusthaus at Aue for Wilhelm IV of Hesse-Kassel.
