Labenwolf.
German family of brass-founders. They were among the leading German brass-founders of the 16th century and the 17th; by 1529, following the deaths of Peter Vischer (i) and Peter Vischer (ii), (1) Pankraz Labenwolf had become the principal brass-founder in Nuremberg. His son (2) Georg Labenwolf inherited the workshop and foundry; under his direction, they continued to thrive into the mid-17th century. He was succeeded by his nephew Benedikt Wurzelbauer (15481620) and great-nephew Johann Wurzelbauer (15951656). The following members have entries:
