Henriet, (Charles-)Frédéric
(b Château-Thierry, Aisne, 6 Sept 1826; d Château-Thierry, 24 April 1918). French painter, writer and engraver. He began his career in Paris as a law student and while completing his degree published short pieces on art and the theatre in satirical journals under a pseudonym. In 1851 the Comte de Nieuwerkerke hired him to assist in the organization of the Salons and then to be his personal secretary (18549).
