Fruytiers, Philip
(b Antwerp, 10 Jan 1610; d Antwerp, 21 June 1666). Flemish painter, illuminator and printmaker. He is one of the rediscovered minor masters of the 17th-century Flemish school. He was educated in the humanities at the Jesuit college in Antwerp, but it is not known with whom he studied painting. In 16312 he was enrolled as a master in the Guild of St Luke in Antwerp.
