(1) Theodore Henry Adolphus Fielding
(b Yorkshire, 1781; d Croydon, 11 July 1851). Painter, printmaker, drawing-master and writer. He was the eldest son of Nathan Theodore Fielding. In 1819 he married Mary Ann Walton ( fl 182135), daughter of James Walton, with whom he later produced A Picturesque Tour of the English Lakes (1821). Mary Ann was an accomplished watercolourist who was elected a member of the Society of Painters in Water-Colours in 1821. Theodore was a capable artist and writer, engraving his own work and providing descriptive text. Picturesque Illustrations of the River Wye (1821) contains texts and aquatints (after drawings by (3) Copley Fielding) by Theodore.
