Engilberts, Jón
(b Reykjavík, 23 May 1908; d Reykjavík, 12 Feb 1972). Icelandic painter, printmaker and illustrator. He studied art privately in Iceland (19212) and then at the Kunstakademi, Copenhagen (192730), under Axel Jörgensen (b 1883) and the Kunstakademi, Oslo (19313), under Axel Revold. He lived in Copenhagen from 1933 to 1940.
