Dalmasio (di Jacopo) Scannabecchi
( fl 1342; d Bologna, 1373). Italian painter. He was old enough to act as a witness in 1342, which suggests that he was born before c. 1320. In 1350 he married the sister of Simone dei Crocefissi, to whom he entrusted his affairs during his residence in Pistoia c. 1365. Both Dalmasio and his son LIPPO DI DALMASIO were regularly employed in Pistoia, and the former is recorded in Bologna in 135056 and 137073.
