Celsing, Peter
(b Stockholm, 29 Jan 1920, d Stockholm, 16 March 1974). Swedish architect. He studied at the Royal Institute of Technology and at the Academy of Arts in Stockholm (193845) before practising under Ivar Tengbom and others. He travelled and worked in the Middle East in 19468. He then worked for the Stockholm Tramway Co. until 1952 and designed suburban subway stations, and subsequently assisted the committee for the restoration of Uppsala Cathedral; in both instances he collaborated with Sigurd Lewerentz. From 1960 to 1969 he was Professor of Architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology.
