Castiglione, Guiseppe [Lang Shining; Lang Shih-ning]
(b Milan, 19 July 1688; d Beijing, 16 July 1766). Italian painter, architect and Jesuit lay brother, active in Portugal and China. Castiglione is the only Western artist to be included in the Chinese imperial collections.
