Campagnola.
Italian family of draughtsmen, printmakers and painters. (1) Giulio Campagnola was the son of Girolamo Campagnola (1433/51522), a humanist scholar and writer on art. Vasari mentioned a once-famous Latin letter by Girolamo describing the achievements of contemporary Paduan artists. (2) Domenico Campagnola was Giulios adopted son, and the prints of both artists were important in spreading an awareness of Venetian landscape through Europe. The following members have entries:
