Bicci di Lorenzo
(b Florence, 1373; d Florence, 6 May 1452). Italian painter and architect, son of LORENZO DI BICCI. He continued the workshop founded by his father. Though not attracted to the artistic ideals and innovations of the Renaissance, he developed the productive capacities of the workshop by inaugurating a remarkable series of partnerships and collaborations with other painters.
