(2) Giovan Tomasso dAuria
( fl Naples, c. 15501600). His exact relationship to (1) Giovan Domenico dAuria is unknown. He probably trained in the workshop of Giovanni Marigliano since he appears as a witness in the contracts for the Sanseverino di Saponara tombs in SS Severino e Sossio, Naples, and he is also recorded in payments registered in the Diario of Annibale Caccavello. In 1566 he collaborated with Giovan Domenico on the restoration of the Fontana della Selleria, Naples, while in 1573 he created a number of decorative elements for the Santini Altar in S Domenico Maggiore, Naples, and a white marble door for the palazzo of Marino Caracciolo. In the same year he carved the base of the statue of Marcello Caracciolo, Conte di Biccari, in the Carraciolo di Vico Chapel, S Giovanni a Carbonara.
