(2) Anthonie Andriessen
(b Amsterdam, 23 Jan 1747; d Amsterdam, 19 Nov 1813). Brother of (1) Jurriaan Andriessen. In 1767 he became a practising member of the Amsterdam Tekenacademie, where he was awarded three prizes. He assisted his brother, who was his teacher, in painting wallpaper decorations with landscape subjects. He is known mainly for his drawings and watercolours, mostly landscapes, but he also produced a few portraits.
