NYC25: An exhibition of New York City 25 years in the future, as envisioned by 25 artists

New York, NY USA

WESTWOOD GALLERY NYC is pleased to present the group exhibition NYC25: twenty-five New York artists from all the five boroughs imagining the city twenty-five years in the future. Some artists build entire alternative scenarios, such as Chloe Bass, who prepares us for over-population and traffic disruptions or Nicky Enright with his Sense US 2038. Others attempt to depict the future cityscape and its inhabitants, such as the collective C.O.A. with their vision of Gowanus Canal, or Robin Michals showing us the submerged Coney Island. A third category steers us towards self-reflection and possible individual solutions to adapt to the ever changing reality while understanding the values which make us who we are and which will survive the passing of time.
