UNIX Gallery is excited to announce the launch of The Charity Museum Foundation, the first non-profit charity originating from a for-profit gallery.
532 W 24th Street
New York, NY USA
Thursday, April 17, 2014–Thursday, April 17, 2014
An event celebrating the launch and benefiting the One Fund Boston will take place on Thursday April 17, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at UNIX Gallery New York.
Art enthusiasts and collectors will have the opportunity to acquire select Desire Obtain Cherish artworks from his current solo show at UNIX Gallery. Half of the proceeds of select works will go to the One Fund Boston, an organization created one year ago this month to aid in the physical and emotional healing of the Boston Marathon bombing victims and their families.
The first 25 guests will receive limited edition shirts designed by Desire Obtain Cherish for the Boston Strong Campaign whose proceeds go to the One Fund Boston. The shirts will be accompanied by a postcard signed by the artist.
Please join us for a night of great art, great wine, and a great cause!
The Charity Museum Foundation will serve as a collaboration between a commercial art gallery and a charitable grassroots campaign. The foundation will introduce the practice of collecting and purchasing art as a way to provide aid to charitable foundations.
“It has been a dream of ours to one day create a model for galleries to give back to their communities. We are fortunate enough to represent artists who value philanthropy and are willing to donate their art to a greater cause.” - Daniela Mercuri, Co Owner, UNIX Gallery
